Junior Backend Developer

Our client develops a leading online comparison platform in Germany. The department specializes in offering digital insurance solutions to consumers, leveraging technology to streamline the insurance shopping experience. Through their platform, users can compare a wide range of insurance products, including car insurance, health insurance, home insurance, and more, from various providers.

Agile software development: Scrum or Kanban-based work

Large company, small teams: Short communication channels & 7-8 employees (m/f/d) per team

Tech stack: PHP8 with Symfony or Mezzio

High IT maturity level: Continuous integration, continuous delivery and automated testing

• You develop new features independently and together with your team in close cooperation with our client's product managers
• Together with our client's product management team, you analyze professional and/or technical requirements
• You also ensure quality and functionality through unit and integration tests - our client will show you how
• Active knowledge exchange through code reviews with your colleagues
• Connecting modern backend services and expanding our client's UI toolkits
• You enable the customers to experience the best possible user experience - especially on mobile devices
• For demanding tasks, an experienced Senior/Lead Developer is always at your side and advises you on your implementation plans

• Good knowledge and practical experience, e.g. from internships, working student positions or initial professional experience in a programming language, as well as the willingness to learn other languages
• You take a look at the documentation before using a function
• You find learning new things more exciting than perfecting routine

• Fluent written and spoken German skills (at least C1 level) are a must-have
